Shutting down the event notification server

There are three methods of shutting down event notification servers

To shutdown an individual event notification server from the event notification server:

  2. Select Shutdown email notifier.

To shutdown an individual event notification server from SafetyLink Risk Manager:

  1. From the H&S Compliance Manager menu select File/Options/List event notification servers. A window opens listing all started event notification servers on your network.

  2. Highlight the event notification server you wish to shutdown by clicking on the item.

  3. Click on  the Shutdown highlighted email Notification Server button. If the server was still running it wait until the Notification Server Wait seconds (see Setting up the event notification email server) has expired and then checks to see if it should shutdown.

  4. Press the Refresh button to verify that it has shut down (it will disappear from the list).

Note: If a server is requested to shut down and remains on the list longer than the wait time then it is possible that it is not running. This could be due to an unexpected computer shutdown or some other reason. If this is the case you can press the Delete button to remove the entry in the list. If the server is still working it will be placed back into the list.
