Accident statistics and reporting are often the measure by which management judges the effectiveness of a health and safety system. Success is measured by a reduction in incident frequency and consequences: harm, damage and waste, all of which also contribute to costs.
The SafetyLink Risk Manager offers the following accident reports which may be generated and viewed on screen, emailed or printed:
Incident/Accident Details Report
This report records the details of the incident, including the location, the person involved, the level of harm, the treatment given, the notification details, the summary of the investigation, any linked hazards and the costs of the incident.
A detailed report about accidents that have caused serious harm and non-serious harm.
For an accident causing serious harm, this report needs to be signed, dated and sent to your local OSH office within 7 days of the accident. Keep a signed copy for your own records.
For an accident not causing serious harm, this report should be printed after it's completed, signed, dated and kept on file in case of inspection by OSH authorities.
This report provides basic details about incidents, including incident number, location, date, cost and a brief description.
Incidents and Investigation Times Report
Shows incidents according to type and according to the departments to which the logged-on user has access.
This report provides a summary of each individual incident selected for inclusion in the report. It also provides a summary of each type of incident included in the report and the total cost of all incidents reported on.
This reporting option allows you to generate a variety of graphs the depict accident and incident trends within your company. For example, you can generate graphs that depict accident and incident overview statistics, accident frequency rates, accident severity rates, accidents by lost time and costs, and incidents by employees.
