To access this screen: Click the Incidents icon
on the toolbar, then click Add or Change. Select the Investigation tab, then select the Elements Investigated subtab and click Add Element.
Use this screen to enter the details of each element of an investigation into an accident or an incident, for example, the location, the injured person, the task they were doing at the time, witnesses, the time, etc. The findings of the investigation into the element are recorded in the Findings tab.
Date This Element Investigated
The date the element was investigated. Use the calendar lookup button or type a date.
Select the focus from the drop down list. If the focus is not in the drop down list, type it in the field provided and press Tab.
What Element Was Investigated?
This is the specific element investigated. For example if the focus was "Person", the specific element might be "The Victim".
This is the name of a person interviewed during the investigation into the element, if applicable.
This is the job title of a person interviewed, if applicable.
Enter the findings from the element investigated. Note that at this point the investigation is about gathering information not making any conclusions.
