To export interview abstracts to MS Word:
Select Interviews from the menu
Highlight the interview required in the list of interviews
Press Abstract to Word

In the window that opens press Send Abstract to Word.
MS Word will open with the formatted abstract. At this point it may be modified if required, printed or saved as a normal word document. Note: if it is modified in Word the modifications are not saved in Ohist, so it is best to apply any modifications in Ohist abstract topics if the abstract is to be re exported to Word.
Example of a Word Abstract with one file and one topic (reduced)

The page header information is from the project.
Each new file produces a file header on a new page.
Information for the file header comes from the interview and any file overrides defined in the interview. The file header labels are defined in the project, as are page margins.
The photo and caption are from the interview. The photo is printed only if the Print photo in abstract is ticked on in the interview, photo tab. The photo is only printed for the first file.
After each file header the abstract topics in that file are printed. These may overflow from page to page.
The topic abstract consists of a location (left) topic heading (top) and topic abstract body (under topic heading). The location format depends on whether the interview is digital (minutes and seconds) within the file or Analogue Tape (counter number).
To insert page numbers use Word, select Insert / Page Number / Bottom of page and select actual position.
To save the Abstract from Word, select File save as and specify a name.
To print the abstract from Word, select File print and select the printer and page selection.
To exit Word select File Exit.
